St. Kevin's celebrate excellence and endeavour in our annual Excellence Awards evening
Excellence Awards 2022

On Thursday we were delighted to open our doors to the entire school community to celebrate our annual Excellence awards. This was the first time we have been able to host an event such as this since early 2020. Welcoming the families and friends of our students helped to make this year's awards ceremony all the more special. We were also delighted to welcome our guests of honour Mr Michael Russell (author), Cllr Patsy Glennon, Cllr Avril Cronin and Dr Deirdre Keyes (Chief Executive of the KWETB).

These awards recognise the effort and endeavour made students on a day-to-day basis, rather than solely focussing on academic results. This event perfectly encapsulates our school motto "Striving Together for Excellence", as we acknowledge the huge efforts made by students, in conjunction with their teachers, to reach their potential. We also celebrated the academic, sporting and extra-curricular achievements of some our current and former students.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us last night and helped to make it such a special event. It is also important to acknowledge the efforts made by Mr Deering and the incoming prefects, whose trojan efforts made sure that everything ran smoothly— and well done again to all the award winners!
