What if I’m late to school?
|
If you're late during tutorial, proceed directly to tutorial. If you arrive after 8:55 am, report to the main office. You should have a note explaining the late arrival.

What if I have to leave school early?
|
Please arrange appointments outside of school time if possible. However, if you need to leave early for a legitimate reason, bring a signed yellow note from your parent/guardian and ask your year head to sign in the morning. At the time of departure, go to the main office with the note to sign out. Please check your Teams to catch up on any work missed.

What if I am absent?
|
Ask a parent/guardian to contact the school to explain your absence. On the day(s) you’re absent, check your Teams to catch up on any missed work. When you return to school, please present a note, completed by your parent/guardian, to your tutor.
|
What if I know I will be absent due to appointment etc?
|
Bring a signed note from your parent/guardian and give it to your tutor in advance. If you know which classes you’ll miss, ask those teachers for any homework or material. Check your Teams to catch up on any work missed.

What if I miss classes for extracurricular activities etc?
|
Let your teacher know in advance if possible. You’re still responsible for catching up on missed work. Please check your Teams to catch up on any class materials.
|
What if I am absent for my detention?
|
Please report to your year head or tutor.

What if I feel sick during school?
|
Students will only be sent home if they are very unwell. If you feel unwell, go to your Year Head or Deputy Principal at break or lunch time (not during class time unless a medical emergency) to get permission to ring home. When you have permission go to the main office where they will contact your parent/guardian. Reminder: All contact with home must be through the main office.

Uniform
|
What if I don’t have my correct uniform?
|
All students are expected to wear full uniform each day. PE uniform is only allowed on PE days. If there is an exceptional reason you cannot wear your full uniform, please bring a note explaining why. Notes will only be accepted for a valid reason.

What if I have a match?
|
Must wear full school uniform to matches and extracurricular activities. Students not wearing full school uniform will not be permitted to travel.
|
Lost or Forgotten
|
What if I lose something?
|
Start by retracing your steps and asking previous teachers if they have seen item. Lost items handed in are stored in Ms Murphy’s Office – check with Ms Murphy to see if item was handed in.

What if I forget my lunch?
|
If you realise early in the day and someone at home can bring it to school, go to the main office, and they will call home. Otherwise, speak to a Deputy Principal, who will arrange food from the canteen.

What if I forget my homework, journal, device etc?
|
If you’ve forgotten something and someone at home can bring it to school, go to the main office and they will contact home. Reminder: All contact with home must be through the main office.

What if I miss daily announcements?
|
All daily announcements are posted in your Year Team on Teams and can be read there.

What if I miss the bus?
|
Go to main office. They’ll help you call home and figure out what to do next.

Getting Around School
|
What if I can’t find my classroom?
|
Don’t stress! Consult the map in your journal, ask a passing teacher or student, or check in with the main office. Everyone had to learn their way around at some point so don’t be afraid to ask.

What if my assigned toilet is closed for cleaning?
|
You can use the universal access toilet by the PE Hall.
|
Locker, Device & Journal
|
What if I can’t use the combination lock for my locker?
|
Ask a prefect, passing student or teacher for assistance. If it continues to be a problem, inform your year head. Many students find the combination locks tricky at first but with practice it gets easier.

What if I forget my locker code?
|
Report the issue to Ms. Brophy (Room 34). You can also report locker issues via the link in your Year Team.

What if I have issues with my device?
|

What if I forget my device password?
|
Go to Mr. Maher (Room 11 or Digital Office), and he will reissue your password.

What if I forget my journal?
|
Tell your tutor at the start of tutorial, tutor will give you a homework replacement sheet. You must copy your homework into your journal that evening. Return the sheet the next morning, your tutor will then transfer any notes from it into your journal.

Wellbeing
|
What if I find it hard to make friends in my new school?
|
You're not alone as many students feel the same at first. Try joining a lunchtime or extracurricular activity to meet others with similar interests. Say hi to someone in your class or sit with someone new. If you're feeling stuck, talk to your tutor, year head, parent or any trusted adult who will try help you find ways to connect.

What if I fall out with my friends?
|
Friendships can be tricky sometimes. Take a break if things feel tense, and when you're ready, try talking it out calmly. You can also ask your tutor, Year Head, parent, or any trusted adult to help you have a respectful conversation. It's okay if friendships change what matters is treating each other kindly.

What if someone is unkind to me or I feel bullied?
|
Please don’t stay silent. Speak to your tutor, year head, parent or any trusted adult. You don’t have to deal with it alone. Everyone has the right to feel safe and respected at school.
|
What if I think someone has been unkind to or bullying another student?
|
Say something. You can let your tutor, year head, parent or any trusted adult know privately. Speaking up shows you care it could really help someone who’s struggling. You don’t have to get involved directly, just let an adult know what you saw or heard.
|
What if I’m worried about something personal?
|
You can always talk to someone you trust at like your parent, tutor, year head, or any trusted adult you feel comfortable with. No problem is too small. They’re there to help and listen, not judge. You're never alone, and there is always support available.

|
Listen for daily announcements, which are also posted in your Year Team. Read posters with details of different activities or ask your tutor, Year Head or the teacher involved in the activity for more information.

In the Classroom
|
What if I don’t understand something in class?
|
It’s okay to ask questions! Teachers expect them. If you knew everything already, why would you come to class?! You can also ask quietly before or after class.
|
What if I can’t see the screen in class?
|
Tell your teacher as soon as possible. The teacher can help by adjusting the screen or moving your seat.
|
What if the fire alarm rings?
|
Stay calm, stop what you’re doing, and follow your teacher’s instructions. Leave your belongings behind and walk quickly to the fire assembly point. Always treat it like a real emergency.
|
