This year for Maths Week there was lots of excitement as we celebrated the importance of Maths both in school and in everyday life. There were lots of activities going on in school including daily puzzles and guess the weight of the pumpkin.
Well done to Ms.Pender and Ms.O'Rourke's first year classes who took part in Ireland Rocks competition. Special mention to the following students for winning Most Valuable Member awards in the competition: Riona Flynn, Oscar Harte, Rayan Prusac, Caelin O'Neill, Ruairi Glennon and Jensen Rix. Ms. Birchall’s and Mr. Kelly's first year classes went on a Maths Trail around our school grounds. They had a great time while building up their confidence in numeracy. Second year students participated in a Maths quiz, while third years took part in a Maths Eyes Poster competition. It's important to recognise moments of Maths in everyday life. All fifth years took part in a quiz on Friday afternoon. The quiz allowed the students to show their more competitive sides. Our 6th years enjoyed some games of cards. This helped develop their knowledge of the deck of cards as well as some healthy competition among classmates.
