Minister Simon Harris, along with Cllr. Avril Cronin and Cllr. Patsy Glennon, received a warm welcome when they visited St. Kevin's today. Minister Harris spoke to students from Transition, Fifth, and Sixth-Year. After a brief introduction from Mr Doran, the Minister spoke to students on various topics, including his journey in politics and alternative pathways for students after completing second-level education. Minister Harris also emphasised the need for more diverse options for students to access their chosen careers, and gave information on the increased financial supports available to college students. Following his talk, he opened up the floor for students to ask a few questions. Our intrepid questioners did not take it easy on Minister Harris; their questions were interesting and technical, and we may have a few budding political correspondents on our hands!
We extend our sincere thanks to Minister Harris for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit our school today.
