Last Friday we celebrated our One Book One Community project with an event in the gym— we were joined by students from Scoil Nioclais Naofa and Jonathan Swift N.S., along with Margaret Birchall from the Wicklow County Library. During the event Ms Whyte, Mr Doran and Ms Gaffney addressed the audience, afterwards two groups from Ms Beckett's class performed dramatic scenes from the novel. To conclude the event students from each school put questions to our guest of honour Helena Duggan, and prizes were awarded to students that have really engaged with the whole One Book One Community project.
Overall, it has been fantastic few weeks reading "A Place Called Perfect". We would like to thank Helena Duggan, Wicklow County Library, our friends in Scoil Nioclais Naofa and Jonathan Swift N.S., and anyone that helped to make this initiative so worthwhile!
